One of our favourite open source storage projects is NextCloud. NextCloud builds on the legacy of ownCloud and picks up where they left off and doubles down on the open source and community contributions. With NextCloud, you can build your very own “cloud storage” server running on your existing infrastructure, on a dedicated SAM-SD or get it hosted (we recommend checking out Vultr for NextCloud hosting of 1TB or smaller.)
NextCloud is a powerful product, loaded with features that you can really use at the core of your business or to pick up the slack from where other storage interfaces have left you wanting. Cloud-style storage can give you the flexibility to think about your internal storage infrastructure in entirely new ways.
